This is a very historic place to visit if you are in China. It stretches for a few kilometers, which is nice to stroll in the morning, with wonderful scenery. Very well kept and guarded.
As large parts of the grounds are uncovered, whenever there is strong wind, it tends to get chilly as there is no shelter you could run to. For winter, bundle up warmly before going.
Perfect place to relax after visiting the Forbidden City. You can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and live music.
Be aware when some people start talking English to you and start a conversation. After a while they will try and sell you something that you actually don't want to buy.
