Chalk Farm tube station is a London Underground station near Camden Town in London. The station is on the Edgware branch of the Northern line, between Camden Town and Belsize Park stations, and in Travelcard Zone 2. The station stands at the junction of Chalk Farm Road, Haverstock Hill and Adelaide Road. The entrance is on the last. The station was opened on 22 June 1907 by the Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway. The narrow wedge-shaped site occupied by the station building gives it the longest frontage of any of the stations designed by Architect Leslie Green for the three tube lines owned by the Underground Electric Railways Company of London and opened in 1906 and 1907. It also has the shallowest lift shafts of any Underground station (21 ft). Station refurbishment by Tube Lines was completed in 2005. The Roundhouse arts venue is nearby. The Madness album cover of Absolutely (1980) shows the band in front of Chalk Farm station.
