D. L. Bliss State Park is a California state park located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe approximately 25 miles (40 km) north of the city of South Lake Tahoe. In 1929, the Duane Leroy Bliss family donated 744 acres (301 ha) to the state for the park. Rubicon Point Light, the highest lighthouse in the United States, is located in the park. One of the most visited places in the park is a large balancing rock that dominates a small hill near the western edge.
