Pskov (Russian: Псков, ancient Russian spelling "Пльсковъ", Pleskov) is an ancient city and the administrative center of Pskov Oblast, Russia, located in the northwest of Russia about 20 kilometers (12 mi) east from the Estonian border, on the Velikaya River. Population: 203,300 (2010 Census preliminary results); 202,780 (2002 Census); 203,789 (1989 Census).
