Takéo (Khmer: ខេត្តតាកែវ, meaning "grandparent's crystal") is a province located in southeastern Cambodia, on the southern coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Its capital is Takéo, a small city with a population of 39,186.
The province touches Kampot to the west, Kampong Speu and Kandal to the north, and Vietnam to the south. Takéo is often referred to as the "cradle of Khmer civilization".
