Orientation & Geography

Africa, Spain, Ceuta

BenzĂș is a small settlement within the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta. It is in the northwest of the exclave, with a northern coastline of the Mediterranean Sea. It lies close to the border with Morocco. It is one of the least densely populated corners of the region, but it is archaeologically important, due to the nearby rock shelters and caves which have evidence of occupation during the palaeolithic and neolithic periods.
